This years Cooling Industry Awards has honoured a number of large companies including Asda, Marks and Spencer, and Sainsbury’s because of their modern application of air conditioning technologies
The awards, presented by the Refrigeration and Cooling (RAC) magazine, celebrate creativity in the industry as well as praising companies who have made substantial developments in carbon reduction through their cooling products.
Sainsbury’s was the big winner on the night, due to its new store in Crayford which includes revolutionary technology which includes a ground-hole boring method, and received both the Low Carbon Achievement of the Year and the new Air Conditioning/Heat Pump project awards.
The End User of the Year was Asda and Marks and Spencer left the awards with the Retail Project of the Year award.
